About the Event
Anna Yukelson is an architect at the Urban Planning Office Frankfurt am Main, specializing in transforming urban landscapes to enhance social, ecological, and cultural connectivity.
Anna will present plans for redesigning a public space in Frankfurt’s Gallus district, focusing on water-sensitive interventions within the existing street layout. The design shows how green infrastructure and retention systems can maximise rainwater use, reduce flood risk, and improve the microclimate. Though not yet built, the project highlights the potential for sustainable, pedestrian-friendly urban spaces. Anna’s approach also foregrounds cultural heritage, context, and social connections to ensure broad community and environmental benefits.
