About the Event
How can education and conservation come together to inspire communities and protect biodiversity?
In this session, Valeria Sorgato and Francisca Tapia from Gaia liNc will share how their organization empowers Latin American communities through environmental education and conservation tools. With a strong international network across Latin America, Europe, and beyond, Gaia liNc builds bridges that make local action part of a global movement.
The event will spotlight two inspiring projects:
- From the Forest to the Classroom in the Tropical Andean Forest – bringing knowledge from the field into schools and communities, connecting children directly with their surrounding ecosystems.
- Pacha-Puyu – conservation education initiatives at Los Chilchos, a biodiverse area where community-based action protects endangered habitats.
The session will close with an interactive quiz and discussion, so participants can engage, test their knowledge, and exchange perspectives.
