Who we are
We are a group of researchers and professionals with backgrounds in urban planning, architecture, engineering biology and many more who are united by the challenge of integrating nature in cities.We bring together a community of 300+ change maker around the globe who share knowledge and create content together for a podcast, articles and events.

Liza Fakirova
Trained as an urban manager, Liza believes that the unity of different actors can be a catalyst for brining more greenery in the cities. If you want to get involved - ask her how. She is also a TEDx speaker and an active member of All Things Urban and ISOCARP

Julia Micklewright
Julia trained as an architect and urban planner. For her, resilient urban spaces must be designed with nature and her research focuses on how to activate every strip of land to achieve this. She is always happy to put her hands in the dirt, and make the change happen!

Fanny Téoule
Fanny is a passionate and dedicated French urbanist and PhD student who is committed to building more sustainable and resilient cities. With a background in anthropology and urban planning, she believes that nature must be at the heart of urban design

Christina Risinger
In her job, as a volunteer or in politics Christina puts her convictions into practice. She calls herself an Eco-architect and works hard to make our world more sustainable and inclusive.

Natalie Páez
Natalie is a chemical engineer who transitioned to environmental engineering to work for preserving our water resources. She investigates the application of urban green infrastructure for an improved urban stormwater management.

Swanandee Nulkar
Swanandee is a Microbiologist by training. Her thesis focuses on studying soil microbes and their potential to remediate heavy metal contaminated soils. Her natural habitat is a library nook. She’ll be up for a few pints of science jibber jabber if you ever run into her!
