Governance Lab

Co-creating Practical Models for Governing Nature in Cities.

What’s That Green? Governance Lab is a community of practice where we come together to experiment and test practical models of shared governance: ways of working in which city administrations, institutions, practitioners, and community groups collaborate as equal partners, highlighting the central role and impact of co-creation.

Our goal is simple: to make collaboration work on the ground, within communities, in strategy or policy development, or through collaborative project design.

First Edition: Stewardship of Urban Green Spaces

The first edition of the What’s That Green? Governance Lab focuses on exploring how civil society can be meaningfully engaged in the care, stewardship, and use of urban green spaces after their implementation.

As a starting point, we are launching an Open Call for projects that showcase shared stewardship of urban green infrastructure across the globe.
